Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2005
I've unfortunately been living at these apartments for almost 3 years. However, I'll be leaving as soon as my lease is up. Maintenance is slow, if they even respond, and good luck getting them to listen to your concerns. If you like to be woken up at 3:00am every weekend morning by drunken people yelling in the parking lot, then I guess this is the place for you. Don't bother to complain, though; nobody ever does anything about it. The last time I tried to complain, the yelling & partying went on right below my bedroom window until 7:30am. And God forbid your neighbors start fighting with each other. The walls, ceilings, and floors are paper thin, especially in the bathroom. Maybe it's always been your dream to be able to hear the people living around you going to the bathroom, taking a shower, etc, but probably not. Oh, you can't forget the squeaking of subflooring as the people above you walk around. Parking is also horrible. I personally haven't had a problem with this in the past year or so, but I've noticed other residents that have to park at another building or accross the complex. Which brings me to another point. Some of the apartments are brightly lit. Others (mine, for example) are not. When I come home late at night, I feel very uncomfortable going up an very dimly lit stairwell. Safety of the tenants doesn't seem to be a major concern of management. You'll see pieces of stairs around the bottom porches as they crumble off the stairways. Also, you'll see plenty of rotted wood & water stains on the porches & railings. Which, by the way, they only fix by attaching a piece of plywood over it. Needless to say, I would very adamantly recommend you find another apartment complex to move into.
