I agree, the apartments are a bit older, but you need to be very observant when looking for a home. Unfortunately, there is no assigned parking (which would be a good idea), but that is where I end in my agreement. The management team is organized and maintenance team is good. When I have a problem, they are usually very prompt in their response. When you go in to sign your leasing agreement you are given several papers one being the rules and regs on trash pick-up. You are not permitted to dump out your trash the night before pick-up - this is because small animals (racoons, dogs, cats, etc) get in the trash and make a mess, also it it is potentially dangerous to the homeowners and the animals. I have been told by management that the maintenance people who pick up the trash will go through the trash (which is public property) to determine who put out their trash on the wrong day. If it is found that you have left trash out on the wrong day, you will be fined $5 per bag. This is all in the rules and regs that each tenant signs. Also, management will periodically place reminders on the doors of the apartments. The intrusion alarm in my apartment works well. I did have some problems, but I think all the kinks have been worked out. There are two clubs on Eckhert, but usually the noise isn't too bad (even when the Spurs win the Championship). I have enjoyed living here. It's been great!!!
