I have been a resident of Oakwell Springs Apartments in good standings since January 31, 2009. During my move in I was requested to and filled out an Inventory and Condition Form. On this form I listed that hot water is coming out of all the cold water faucets and the dishwasher is in a unusable condition with rusted dish racks and having an extremely fowl odor inside.
Since my moving in, I complained in person to the office no less than 4 times about these issues with my apartment. Several attempts have been made to repair the hot water in the cold faucets but with no success to date. To my knowledge no attempts to repair or replace the dishwasher have been made or documented to myself by the office or the repair personnel. I am including copies of maintenance requests dated 02/01/2009, 02/03/2009, 02/13/2009 and 02/21/2009 of attempted repairs to the hot water in cold water faucets complaints.
I feel that you as the acting agents of the owner have violated the terms of the Lease under paragraph 31 RESPONSIBILITIES OF OWNER by failing to repair issues and ignoring my request both verbal and in writing on the Inventory and Conditions Form.
I here by wish to exercise my rights given in the signed Lease under paragraph 31 sub-paragraph C and in Property Code Section 92.056.
If all repairs and or replacements of listed complaints are not complete within fifteen days of receipt of this notice to my satisfaction, I wish to be relinquished of all the obligations of my lease, be refunded all security deposits and be allowed to move out of Oakwell Springs Apartments without any derogatory leans upon myself or my credit history.

My dishwasher is also useless. It slowly accumulates water and eventually it stinks so bad I have to run it with bleach. I do not use it because soap suds leak out onto the kitchen floor. I do not use enough dishes to justify using a dishwasher; I wish they would remove it and place a badly needed cabinet space. The kitchen is very small and there is not enough space for comfort. It might be OK for a single person.
