I lived here for 2-1/2 years. I was an excellent tenant, moved because I bought a house. Repeat, I was an excellent tenant, paid my rent on time, never any noise or other problems. Had a small dog for six weeks of the 30 months I lived there. Notified them when I no longer had a dog and was told my pet deposit ($300 - only 1/2 refundable) would not be returned until I moved. Gave 60 days notice of intent to move out. Moved out three weeks before lease expired (paid last month rent on time, used two of those weeks to clean apartment. I vacuumed and used a carpet cleaner to clean the carpets. I thoroughly cleaned the apartment, including the fireplace, stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, etc. Scheduled walk-thru with manager. At the scheduled time of the walk-thru, manager was "too busy" to do walk thru and sent a maintenance man. He noted on the form that the carpet was dirty (did not take any pictures). I contested it at the time and mgr had me write that I did shampoo the carpet. Got my check today, along with an itemized list of "damages." A WHOPPING $37.25!!! They claim the apartment was in poor shape and listed all the rooms as being dirty, the carpet "had not been vacuumed" and other such nonsense. I even replaced a broken mini-blind at my expense. The mgr told me when I called that "it wasn't cleaned to their standards" and "they have pictures." This is utter nonsense!! No pictures were taken when I did the walk-through (I never considered they would treat me unfairly so it didn't occur to me to take pictures.) When I notified them of my intent to move, I asked them for a move-out checklist and was told they didn't do those. I specifically asked if I needed to wash the walls and was told by the manager that "she only paints if the tenant has lived there for 30 months." I lived there 30 months, yet they charged me $57.25 for "full paint." When I reminded her of our conversation, she replied that she remembered the conversation and "there must have been a mistake in our system that I was charged for that." I intend to see a lawyerand seek remedies. It's not a large amount, but it's the principle of the whole thing. I've seen apartments where the prior tenants trashed it - this apartment was by not by any stretch of the imagination - trashed or dirty." Beware too, future renters, my son was warned by a prior tenant that there are "big mold and mildew" problems at Park Greene and one of his classmates had to move because of medical problems caused by it.
Two years with very low water pressure in all bathrooms until it was finally fixed.
No visitor parking and loud train noises further "enhance" your living experience here.
