Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
I have lived on the property for 9 months and thus far have had minimal problems with the apartment or the staff. There was one issue with a pipe bursting in the attic next door to me, but the building is 20 years old and has obviously shifted, which is to be expected for one so old in Texas, where the earth goes from bone-dry to saturated multiple times in the course of a year. The repairs for said problem were prompt. The appliances in some of the apartments are on their last legs, but will be replaced promptly if a major problem arises. (I recently had a dishwasher replaced within a week of noticing a problem.) The maintenance team is polite and constantly working to keep things running smoothly. As far as the building itself: The noise insulation between apartments is amazing. I can barely tell that I have neighbors. Occasionally nails stick out of the patio boards but a hammer costs several dollars and works wonders. As for the staff: I don't know why everyone writes that the office staff is rude or unhelpful. Every time I have gone in, they have been polite and quick to help me. The only problem I have had so far in that area was a miscalculation by the staff on a water bill that I should have caught at the time it happened. However, the miscalculation was not in the apartment's favor and was solved as soon as they asked me to pay the difference and gave me a timeframe. As long as you pay your bills on time, are polite, and don't try to hide anything (ie: pets without paying the deposit, or extra residents) the staff is willing to work with you. Actually, I will be forced to move into a smaller apartment soon, due to a roomate moving away, and although it would probably be more cost efficient for me to move into a different complex, I don't want to because I like the staff at Park Hill and who knows what problems I'll run into somewhere else. All in all, I would reccommend moving here as long as you know how to be a good tenant.
