Everybody's complaints are pretty accurate. My walls are seperating in every corner in my apartment (which allows bugs to get in fairly easy). They are all at least one inch or more apart. What did managment say when i complained......the painters will be here next week. Guess what....the problem is obviously not cosmetic...it's the foundation and I don't believe that they will do anything about it anytime soon. They're too busy trying to repair water leaks under the parking lot. (caused by shifting of the foundation) I just received yet another notice today that the water will be turned off tomorrow at 10 AM and they don't know when it will be turned back on because of repairs they have to do. We get these notices at least every other month. My kitchen counter is also crooked and that just can't be safe, right' My front door is constantly getting jammed. The other morning it was so bad that I couldn't even lock it!! When the maintenece guy came to fix it he said it was probably due to shifting of the foundation. Again....if they know about the problem why won't they fix it'
My neighbors aren't that bad except for the one that throws his cigarettes all over the stairs and breezeway. The sad thing is that I think he works here as one of the "maintenence" guys. Have some respect dude.
Parking is the worst. I understand that this is a problem at any complex you go to but......people here are rude. They either take up two spaces or they leave their ghetto car parked in one spot for months.
The kids that live here are little hoodlums and their parents never watch them. They somehow get H-E-B shopping carts then push them all around the parking lot till they hit a car. They also throw rocks at your back porch.
I could go on and on and on but I think I've made my point across that this is not a good place to live.

Send a certified letter to the office and to Univesco in Plano, Tx - they are the owners. Protect yourself - include everything that is wrong with your place and the lack of response. YOU HAVE RIGHTS AS A TENANT. Do not be bullied by the incompetent office. Also, call 311 and file a complaint with code compliance and stay on it. The good tenants here need to get together and get this place cleaned up once and for all. |

"Guess what....the problem is obviously not cosmetic...it's the foundation and I don't believe that they will do anything about it anytime soon." What do you think they can do about it? Call Superman out to lift the building up? You obviously know enough about it to know exactly what the problem is. News flash: IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO FIX THE FOUNDATION. That was a mistake made by the builders a long time ago and (very) unfortunately it cannot be fixed. I'm tired of living here, too... But don't blame the staff for things that they can do nothing about. That's just spreading stupidity. |
