We have lived here about 2 years and are generally in shock at the persistent disregard for customer service. We have lived in many complexes and understand the issues that may arise and in no way are complaining about the issues. Issues are to be expected, its when the management failes to "manage" the situations. I am a working professional and it is never appropriate to argue with customers, wear tight fitting jeans to work, and blatently ignore someone standing in front of you. Rather than writing a mean review to add to the 40 others, I would just like to say a few things. People on government housing have better living conditions because it is tightly maintained. Roaches dont necessarily come because you are dirty, they come up pipes, drains, cracks in foundation, walls and doors. When someone moves out and they spray they migrate to the next apartment. The poor maintnence men are overworked because someone is refusing to hire professional help. These apts are falling apart and nobody seems to care. They are not that cheap, when you consider the costs you incur for elevated electric bills due to old appliances over working, issues with water, uneven walk ways, hot water unmaintained, loose balcony railing, pest control products etc...you are paying alot more for alot less. We have never ever ever ever dealed with a more unprofessional staff and in our home town someone that unprofessional would have been fired by now. Our old complex went through 4 teams of managers in 5 years and didn't have nearly as many problems as this place. Some corporations actually take pride in their properties. The only thing I can say is if I posted all my problems, it would take 4 or 5 posts and thats leaving out vanity issues. Rather than going through that, the other posts pretty much touched all the subjects. My suggestion is if you have managed to get sucked into this black hole by some sweet talking cruella deville (hense the name Plaza De Ville) leasing agent then the best you can do is honor your lease and fight back! Send Certified Letters, Contact the Tenants Council for unresolved issues, Search "TEXAS TENANTS RIGHTS" (www.texastenant.org) on google and read over them. That should also give you tenants council address. Email corporate, go through plazadevilleapts.com and click corporate (www.univesco.com). Mail letters and if you still have issues, then call them 972-836-8000. The corp is UNIVESCO. You cant sit by and work hard to pay rent for something that was leased to you under false pretenses. You have RIGHTS! You have the right to speak up and be treated fairly. This is America, use your freedoms, By the way, cant help but notice the nice postings are by lotsofwork or anonymous. I wonder if they checked the box certifying they dont work here, some one wants you to know a certain employee is nice! FISHY
