Fear the Security Guards!

I am ready for my lease to be up! My apartment is infested with mice and roaches! I have asked the management team to do something about it. The only response is I got was that they are working on it. I was finally able to get a person from the management team to come out. They did not do anything but get one look around and left. I felt insulted as they left as they mentioned no plan of action. They probably thought I was a high maintenance tenant or an idiot for reporting I had a mice infestation.
I am so disappointed and feel very intimidated by the security team they have here at the Promontory Pointe. They have security personnel that walk the grounds but they are very rude! They are more concerned with flexing their authority in enforcing pool rules than keeping cars from getting broken into. They lack tact in reminding you what the pool rules are. I had an encounter with one and it was awful experience. At first I had no idea he was a security guy. This one security guy came up to the pool and scolded me and group of my friends. He was yelling, telling us to get out of the swimming pool. I had never seen this person before and the worst part was that he never identified himself as a "peace officer". I had to ask him who he was before we were threatened to leave. Can you imagine a strange person with no credentials identifying himself as a peace officer telling you to get out of the pool and not explaining why' For all I know this guy could have been some nut bullying us. I hope future tenants take these thoughts and experiences into consideration before moving in!

The new alarms are great at keeping the convicts that management has clearly acknowledged out of the buildings...but they are not going to stop the cars from being vandalized or stop people from being MUGGED in the parking lot. Also - how do your friends like having new dents in their cars when they park in the crammed parking spots? We'll see how you like living here when its been over 2 months (assuming you actually live here).

My goodness! I just moved in about two months ago. I don't see what all the fuss is about. They told me one space, i accepted the fact that parking is tight. Yes, my guests walk far but they understand. I live here and that parking is slim and i remind them of that, they still come to visit. The gates have been down once since i moved in on one side not all three and i see people working on it. What kills me is when the city shuts down the front entrance for the road construction in front of the property. New Fitness Center , New Monitored Alarms and Drive thru Service. I like it. Don't listen.

OMG!! are you seriously defending this place?? I lived there for 6 months and in those 6 months the gates maybe worked a total of 3 times, the office staff are the biggest B*tches, I have yet to meet any former residents who enjoyed living there. Not to mention we had to wait 3 days for them to fix our AC last summer when it was 98 degrees outside!!! Not to mention the 2 days we waited for them to fix our water heater in the WINTER!! Very bad expereince there!! 120 people giving this place a bad rating??? I dont think we can argue otherwise.

One thing about apartment security systems, they have a "maintenance" code where they can come in and you will never know about it. But ask an alarm company--there is a way around it and, as a renter, you have many rights including a right to privacy.
