Promontory Point in San Antonio is the absolute worst place I have lived! My husband and I have lived there two years and have been broken into twice and there have been attempted robbery three times. Every one of our surrounding neighbors have had similar problems. We had to spend our own money to get special equipment put on the doors so that the low-lives have a more difficult time breaking in. When we asked if we could put up cameras with our own money on our porch, they told us no because of privacy issue. When we asked them if they would place more security measures at the gates, they said no to cameras because of privacy issue and no to other methods because the owners of the apartment complex didn't think there was a real problem. About twice a week when I go to work in the morning, I see what were nice cars up on cinder blocks because their previously nice tires, rims, etc., have been stolen. At least once a week when I'm going to work, I see a car with broken windows because it has been broken into. But the owners don't want to spend money because they say there's not a problem. The office just recently got hit and a bunch of rent checks were stolen. Guess what' If your check or money order was in there, you had to prove that you had put it in there or else. There's more but I'm tired of typing. Live here at your own risk.
