I lived in the duplex for 1 year. I never really had too many problems. At one point there was a problem with roaches, but once the nasty neighbors moved out it solved the problem.
Good size backyard, and I didn't ever have to mow because the manager had people come do it every other week or so. I didn't have to pay extra for that, it was a part of the rent.
The area wasn't the greatest, but it was quiet for the most part. I could take walks with my son in the evenings and it was peaceful.
The neighbors were nice, I got invited to a few barbaques. Other than that I was left alone to do my own thing.
I would recommend this as a starter duplex for a small family.
