I chose to live at Riverstone because of it's proximity to where I work and because it seemed to have the best overall rating (on this website) in my price range. I was sort of hassled when applying and 1st refused an apartment because of an old apartment debt that had long since been taken care of. I called the community's corporate office and got everthing squared away. My experience from then on was pretty much smooth sailing...
The property definitely needs some updating. From what I understand they're phasing in new interiors. The exterior (curb appeal) needs some major work, but coming from a crime-ridden complex my main concern was safety; which I never felt was an issue @ Riverstone. The 2nd/West(') gate of the property is closed off, which I know some people found annoying. The benefit here is that one entry/exit means that would be theives have a greater opportunity of being seen if they enter and leave using the same entrance/exit. People now exit through the "busiest" area of the complex.
I moved to another complex last month and I received (the greater majority of) my deposit back 15 days after vacating. The itemization was very fair. I'd say this complex has my 100% endorsement; having rented at about 6 complexes in the past this has by far been my best experience. I'm hoping for the same luck at my new place.
