I lived there for 6 years and let me tell you, this place has really gone downhill. I no longer live there, because for one the rent was contantly being raised. Second, the apartments should be condemed. The units that we were in had a bad infestation. The management refused to fix many of the pre-existing problems that the buildings were plagued with. To and including toxic mold. My child and I became so sick during the last year that we were there, our family dr. highly encouraged us to move for our health's sake.
There were also a lot of gang-related issues within the complex and even a murder while we lived there. Many of the neighbors tried to look out for each other, but for the most part, we were all scared silly to live there. And especially to go out alone at night.
They have a terrible problem with the homeless people hanging out on the complex and did nothing abou that either.
On another occassion, I had been having my personal belongings inside my home go missing, such as jewelry, money, dvd's, etc. and I actually caught maintanence men going into my apartment unauthorized and found out later that the management gave keys from everyone's apartment to subcontractors and they were letting themselves in and making themselves at home in our apartments. Management refused to take any responsibility for any of this. And they covered up any of the major crimes that went on regularly to interested tenants.
Good luck if you decide to move in here. You'll need to consider getting a good renter's insurance policy before moving in. And you may also want to consider having a good relative or friend that can help you with repairs to your unit.
One more thing, stay out of the swimming pools there! They hardly ever clean them. Some sampling of the water was done while we were there and we were informed that the water was unfit for human use. They found high amounts of human waste, pesticide, and different forms of harmful bacteria in the pools. The only pool that gets regular maintainence is the pool that is by the main office and that is for appearances only. Good luck!

One more thing, be sure you do a VERY GOOD walk-thru BEFORE you move in. On both the units that we moved into, management charged us for things that were broken or already damaged. And don't bother cleaning or painting. They charge you for it regardless if you do it or not. The money that they collect from this, they use to make ready for the next victim/tenant. It's a scam.
