I've lived here for almost 3 years now. The old management was bad, but the new management is worse. I've nicknamed the manager "the slumlord" because that's what this place feels like.
The new remodeling is the new office and playground. You have to walk past rusted out AC intakes to get to the office. The electricity isn't grounded. Sounds like nothing until you see a spark almost every time you plug something in.

And that isn't the worst part. We got broken into three times in two months. And the culprits were our neighbors, not that SAPD or the management could or would do anything. And there's no clause in your lease to let you out for something like that. It took them two weeks to fix my door, which caused the second break in. I later found out this was when management changed.

I know all bills paid sounds nice but is it worth everything you own THREE TIMES!
We even had our vehicle broken into by incompetent theives. They couldn't figure out how to hot wire the truck so they left it. I think they got spooked by the security guard we used to have.

The new management did finally let us change apartments. I think she did this because maintenance told her we had extensive black mold, which is enough to get you out of a lease. (wish I realized that then) Our new neighbors are extensive pot heads. I'm talking every night the smokes comes up through our floor. Normally I'm a tolerant person but Every Night!'

Whatever you do, don't move here. This place isn't a home it's a hell hole.

I know where you're coming from, girl. (I don't know if you've read our review yet, it's a few back.) If we find a better place, we'll let you guys know, too.
