This was one of the worst experiences I have had in renting an apartment! I should have known when I waitied outside to view the apartment for over an hour after the stated time they would return. I rented the apartment a month before the designated move in date, they knew the date that I would pick up the keys I called and spoke with office the morning that I was to move in and confirmed everything with them. I went to pick up the keys early afternoon once again left waiting for someone to return from lunch/break over an hour late to pick up keys, was told the painters were painting the apartment that day (my move in date) and to try not to touch the walls, after we started moving items in I received a call from the office telling me that the carpet was wet, after a few days the carpet started showing stains from the previous tenants because we had walked on the wet carpet, I was told it would be noted in my file. The 1st night in the apartment, we were invaded by roaches, all sizes, it took two trips by the exterminator to stop the roaches. The electricity in the dining area was bad sometime when you turned on the light it would trip the circuit and turn everything off. There was a guard onsite when I moved in, that told us we had to move the truck we were blocking fire lane, after a few weeks guard was gone this was part of their pitch when I moved in that the had a guard. My vehicle was broken into twice, the first they broke the back window and stole my stereo, when I let them know I was told sorry we are not responsible. The second time, was the same day I replaced the stereo, they damaged both front doors with and object trying to pop the locks, once again I went to the office, I was told, "well you know we don't have a guard. So now I have had to pay over $500 to have my car repaired, my neighbor had his vehicle broken into twice in one week. The staff was nice enough but the never took ownership of anything that we asked about, receiving a call back was next to never. The parking lots are always noisy, if you don't get there early in the day you have to park far from you apartment. I fell and broke my glasses, while there because the parking lot is poorly lit, you can't tell where the sidwalk is uneven, when I once again went to the apartment office, the young lady there just stared out of the window and mumbled something about reporting it that was in february 2008, when I moved Sept,2008 nothing had been done about it. I had to once again pay for the replacement of the glasses, another $200 out of my pocket. Never received a follow up call, inquiry just absolutely nothing.In April, I started seeing mouse droppings in the apartment, I went up to the office and was told someone would be over, when the exterminator arrived he put down those sticky pads, the mouse just would go around them, when to the office again, still waiting on the mouse to be caught...... I moved out in September, 2008 and here it is November and still have not received an account of where my deposit is, what is being taken out nothing when I called to inquire about it I was told I would receive a call back the next day, that was over a week ago. I realize, of course this is my experience but the only I can say good about the complex is the apartments are large. Hopefully, I will receive what ever is left of my deposit I am sure they will try to keep most of it,the company seems to be that type of organization and now since I have written this I probably will not receive anything. If you are considering moving to these apartment make sure you have a very good car alarm, or great insurance, invest in some mouse traps and be a very hard sleeper.
