These apartments look beautiful from the outside and inside. They are brand new afterall. But since it is housing and tax credit friendly they allow anyone to move in. My neighbor has 7-8 kids living in a 4 bedroom apartment. Our building is always tagged with gang signs. Everytime we came home there were people in front of the building loitering, drinking and getting high. The office staff was extremely helpful to me and did everything in thier power to get me out ASAP. They are doing everything they can with what they have.

thank you for you info. i am a person who receives housing and i have four children and i also work and go to school full time. i want to say sorry for the experience that you had and not everyone who receives assistance is like the people you lived near. i hope your next place will feel more like a home instead of a prison.

Thanks for the warning. I fell in love and was on the phone with my husband when I decided to look through the comments. We fell in love with the outside and were discussing when we would go by for a tour of a 3 bedroom apt. I have 3 young children, one of whom has had a transplant and is already taking 9 medications...and if we were to walk past someone getting high....I think we'll pass these up.

I actually live her at Rosemont @ Palo Alto>>>
and it is the absolute worst!!!!!!!!! We moved in early August of last year and it has just been horible from there.
every time we would want to go swimming there were all kinds of kids in there screaming bad words, and talking nasty things, they would get whole rolls of paper towels and throw them into the pool and when you walked into the pool you legs would get wet paper stuck on them UGh nasty. and i would call in the office and tell them and there never seem to be anything done.
Shortly after we arrived we got an upstairs neighbor who had 4 small kids all less the 7 years old, and it was really bad, they were loud and would stomp all night long scream and cry, I notified the manager many times and even called the police, I even wanted to move but they were gonna charge me a fee for breaking my lease. They were no Help to us at all. the front of the apartment is always full of old food and trash that the kids come and throw around, there are drug dealers that live in the apartments and deal drugs at all hours, there is vandalism to cars parked outside, aswell as to the buildings. OOO and there is never any parking we always have to park like on the other side of the building. This was my first time ever renting an apartment and i asure you it was the worst. SOOOOOOOOO GHETTO. My most sincere oppinion is for whom ever is thinking about moving here really look around and open your eyes to everything aroud you.look at the small things, and ask about vandelism, drugs,a and everything. dont let them give you blank answers and leave you wondering.
Best of Luck

I lived there too when they first opened it and it really is a shame that people think because it is on the south side we don't want a nice living experience. Might as well have been the courts ... I decided to move back home since I knew I would be safer. Now let's talk about the bugs. Constant visits from SCORPIONS ... ANTS ... SPIDERS. My friend's nice was bitten by a scorpion and I found one crawling a couple of feet away from my daughter. The spiders were not jumping spiders ... but funky black ones and brown recluse (poison!). Good luck to anyone stuck here .... pay the fee and break the lease!
