selective in who they help...

I moved here about a year ago, it has been my first apartment experience. There like everything is the good and the bad.
I will say the apartments are very good looking and the grounds are kept clean. The gates however are hardly ever working and the playground almost always has some sort of graffiti on it , the groundskeepers are getting better at cleaning up whatever offensive writing is scribbled.
The office girls are very selective in who they want to help. That is one of the more severe negatives of this complex. In one experience , I was getting ready to take my son to the pool , when I had come to open the pool gate I noticed it was locked. The pool should have been opened at 10 it was already noon. So, i walked to the office to see why it was closed , I was told it was because there was no life preserver. No big deal seemed like a valid reason.Less then thirty minutes later , I looked out my window to see the pool opened and two very young attractive men swimming in it .
On another occasion , there was a wasp nest outside one of my windows , when the office staff was first notified of the issue I was told to get some poison and spray because it was the same thing the exterminator would do . I was furious , so I asked my husband to go to the office and ask them to get something done. The exterminator was here by the afternoon .( it doesn't hurt that my husband resembles an underwear model.)
The power here will go out from time to time , the last time it was out for about four hours , but then there is lots of construction in the area.Lately , there has been bit of a mouse infestation , its been about two weeks since the staff was notified wad nothing has been done, we have since then put up our own traps and trapped about 6 mice.Ants as well have been a problem .Wasps can be a nuisance in the summer but then its the south so its expected but it is scary since my son and I are allergic. There is actually a part of the gate to the community that is missing, it lets in lots of strays .
The neighbors for the most part are good, there are many Monday mornings after a weekend where there is lots of broken glass in parking lots due to people drinking, and on two occasions playing in the playground where my son and I had to leave early because of rival gang members wanting to brawl.
You know on second thought I think the bad outweighs the good.

Your problems sound exactly like mine! This is the worse apartment I've lived in and its mostly because of the office staff. I have never had their help with anything I've asked for! I'm still waiting!
Your lucky you have only caught six mice. My number is up to twenty! I'm not even kidding! I wish you the best of luck for the remainder of your stay! I know I can't wait until my lease is up.
