Noise-----
The walls and ceilings are very thin.
Water-----
The water is turned off AT LEAST once a month without any notice, written or otherwise. Every two months or so we do receive notice that it will be turned off and make arrangements for this, getting up early to fill the bathtubs and a pitcher in the fridge, but as a general rule of thumb, if we are told that the water will be shut off, it isn't. Last year the pool needed work and had to be drained and re-filled several times, the cost of the water found it's way into our water bills which are supposed to be based on the size of the unit and number of occupants. Our water bills have been exorbitant ever since we routinely pay over $40 for water alone; this is especially frustrating when you take into account how often it is turned off.
Upgrades-----
We lived in a one bedroom unit and moved into a two bedroom with the "upgrades" a year ago. It was nice at first, but everything has fallen apart. The new brushed nickel fixtures were not properly installed, nor were the cabinet doors, which hang from their hinges.
Air Conditioning-----
The A/C units are old and while they work well when the temperature is in the 80s, they cannot keep up with the summer heat. Our unit (in the ceiling of the bathroom has a bad habit of freezing up and then dripping large amounts of condensation all over over the bathroom, as a result we cannot keep anything we don't wish to get damaged in the room. Rather than doing anything to prevent repeat occurrences in the future, they simply treat the symptoms. And we all know that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Judging by the number of times I've seen shop vacs working in other units I believe this to be a widespread problem and not limited to our own experience.
Good Reviews-----
I have real problem reconciling my experiences here with the glowing reviews I've seen ion this site and have to assume they were written by management. The neighbors I've spoken with have had similar nightmares and those who have moved in recently pay as much as $200 more in rent than we do for the same floor plan and we feel that we're paying too much. Please save yourself a great deal of trouble by looking elsewhere.
