My wife and I and our two children lived there from Nov of 06 to Aug 09. When we signed our second lease they said they would clean our carpets for no charge since there were no specials going on at that time. The carpets were never cleaned.

Over the almost 3 years our apartment suffered water damage from either leaky windows or upstairs tenents more than 6 times. Most of the water damage they never fixed. I have pictures of water damage and stains and mold that was never repaired. Additionally our A/C unit was under constent repair. We had it recharged an average of 2x each year. On a 900SQFT apartment our electric bill ran around $250.00 a month in the summer time and we could not get it to cool below 78.

The maintanence staff is wonderful, but they are understaffed and overworked. Everytime they would come out to fix whatever was causing the water to come into my apartment I would ask them about fixed the water damage and they said they were only allowed to fix what the management company placed on the work order and that if they weren't told to fix the damage they were not allowed to do so on their own.

Due to the disrepair and substandard living conditions we moved out early. We have over 60 days written notice, moved out and turn in our keys a day early. We paid for the last month (Aug '09) in full and moved out on 8/16.

I am now getting a "bill" from an attorney stating I owe about $2000 for releting fees and the unpaid rent for the remaining part of the lease.

It is beyond my comprehension that they can fail to provide a livable apartment and then have the nerve to try and stick me with a bill because I choose to no longer live in a mold infested, water damaged apartment with an A/C that never worked.

Their corporate headquarters will be hearing from me. Anyone know any other place/person I should report them too'
