I moved into Sierra Vista in July 2005. I can honestly say in the very beginning the only problem I had was with some of the teenagers in the complex. You know, stupid teenagers thought it was funny to place large rocks behind tires and when you reversed the rock would shoot out. It happened to me twice. Luckily the rocks didn't hit anyone's car or worse hit somebody. The second time it happened I complained to the manager and it didn't happen again. For the life of me I cannot remember that woman's name but I remember tenants complaining about her. I think it was like my 2nd or 3rd weekend there and I was down at the pool and another tenant approached me asking me if I had received an extrememly high electric bill I told her I had just moved in and I had not received one yet she said her's was like $300 for a 2 bdrm apt. I think that was during the whole Hurricane Katrina, Rita thing because I can remember that summer it was on the news or in the newspaper that electricity was going to be higher. Anyhow the woman went on to complain about it and then complained about the manager saying she never wanted to work with her when she would pay her rent late.''''''' Uh yeah why would she. I mean really the apartment complex and property management company are still just another business. They are in it to make money. Well going back to the whole rock thing I can't really remember seeing those kids again. If I remember correctly though one of the women that worked in the office at that time was the mother of those kids. I guess she stopped working there. I can honestly say that I didn't have any problems when I first moved in. I guess the office staff were okay. I say that because I didn't have to deal with them ever. I paid my rent on time. Everything in my apartment worked like it was supposed to. My neighbors were all okay. I know this is going to sound pretty stupid but I didn't even know the management company had changed until one day I decided to read the monthly newsletter they would put on your door attached to the water bill. It wasn't until about April or May of 2007 when things in the complex started to change for me. I have to say though it wasn't so much the management staff or the maintanance men. It was the people moving in. I had some crazy neighbors move in across from me. I swear it was like a freaking clown car. The door opened up and all of these -------- would come out. Of course it was never the same ones. Then the fights started with the teenagers right below me. They would be screaming at all hours of the night. The people across from me were constantly fighting. They ended up moving out. In the middle of the night no less. They left a bunch of garbage on the stairs and it took forever for it to be cleaned up. The teenagers below me constantly started to leave trash in front of their door and their part of the walk way. For whatever reason their mother didn't think it was necessary to tell them to clean it up or hell maybe it was her that left it there. They would play loud music that seemed to start at 9:30 at night. The roof was redone and some left over shingles and plastic were left on my balcony. I was starting to have a few problems with my apartment. They were very trvial but they bothered the hell out of me. Honestly it was a total of 7 different things. I called a few times and the last time I called the girl I spoke to hung up on me. I walked down to the office so that I could get everything taken care of once and for all. Surprisingly it was all taken care of within 4 days. I have to be honest I did act a little crazy when I went. Grafitti started to appear in the laundry rooms. The pool that was right in front of my balcony was closed the vast majority of 2007 summer. It looked yellow and green at times. Of course it started to become closed when a bunch of idiots started to stay there all night and throw the pool furniture into the pool and broken glass was everywhere. Even then though with all of the different people that were living there I wouldn't have gone swimming in the pool anyway. The dog crap that was everywhere was the most disgusting. And why because people never cleaned up after their pets. It was especially bad during the hotter months. I think what really bothered me was that the manager at that time lived on the property, people always said that she was more concerned with her pregnancy. But who knows. It just seemed to start going down hill when I started to see a bunch of -------- moving in and I don't mean -------- like west side or south side mexcicans I mean like Nationals or Illegals. Oh my gawd! Every Saturday and Sunday moring was the same freaking thing having to watch where I walked because of beer cans, broken beer bottles, even the cardboard beer boxes, I really don't care what people do with themselves and how they spend their weekends. I don't care if people drink themselves into a coma but why should everyone else have to watch where they walk because some loser was too lazy to throw trash in the garbage. Then there was the garbage cans. People left all kinds of crap there. Mattresses, tables, chairs and why so they wouldn't have to pay a fee to go to the dumpster. Ridiculous I tell you. The last straw for me though was when a family moved into the bulding across from me. My bedroom window faced their balcony. Talk about the official poster family for worthless. Don't ask me what they did for a living cause I don't know but wouldn't be surprised if it was nothing. There was like 3 or 4 kids and they were fairly young I think maybe one teenager. Animals. They would play Tejano music on Sunday mornings like at 8. They were constantly playing soccer in the parking lot. I saw one of them playing in the dumpster. That's disgusting. Where were their parents. Their mini blinds were all busted up and one day I came home from work and their was glass all over the sidewalk where one of their windows had been broken. Oh yeah and one time I was coming back from the store and one of the little girls approached my car and asked me if I wanted to buy a candy from her for a $1.00. No not those candy bars for fund raisers either. I mean literally a piece of candy. Are you kidding me, get the ---- out of my face and go find your mother. With all of that though I have to say my AC and heater always worked, my stove, fridge, freezer never went out. I knew in advance if my water was going to be off during the day. I work during the day so it never affected me. I never had any problems with bugs but then again the complex sprayed on a regular basis. I mean come on they put it in the newsletter when pest control would be there I think it was like every Wednesday they would spray certain buildings. For the most part living there was not bad. Like I mentioned the office staff wasn't the best but they sure weren't the worst like some others have said. The maintainance guys were alwasy very friendly and polite. My deposit was $150 when I moved in and I received $105 of it back within less than 30 days of moving out. I made sure I cleaned everything. Nothing was broken and there was no damages. I was only charged $45 for a light cleaning. It was the other tenants that made me sick. They were just so lazy and I guess they thought because they paid rent they could do whatever they wanted. Funny thing about that though was that they never did any of it during the day when the office was open. Again this is the most honest review you will ever read. I don't work in the office and nor am I friends with anyone in the office. I lived in apartment #1010.

I totally agree with everything that you are saying. I am and have had the same problems with the illegals. The apt complex moves in different people all the time. I had like 12 men living above me. I have so many complaints. W3ell just about 30 minutes ago I heard 2 gun shots and now there are cops all behind my apt. In heard alot of people arguing. Pople have tried opening up my door at different hours of the day. These men (illegals) everywhere around me are constanly telling me things, whistling, staring. I feel so unsafe living here it's unbelievable. Managemt will do nothing to help you. They are all stupid in the office and are in on the whole (letting illegals live here) No parking cuz these people have a million cars (with no tags on them) My lease is up in a month in half can;t wait to get the F*CK outta here!!! My neighbor feels the exact same way. It was fine about a year ago now they are letting just anybody live here. I saw men in their car smoking crack infront of my apt. Called the cops and they didn'y do anything. Apt compleza has turned off my water w/no notice at all. It was off for about 6 hours and they didn't even tell us sorry or couldn't even give us a time of when our water was going to be turned on. They said they didn't let us know because they didn't think it was going to take that long. I have nothing good to say about this place. PLease PLease don't live here!!!!!

I thought it would be a great place for my husband and I to get back on our feet financially, but now I think it might be better to pay a little more and live somewhere else. These reviews are kinda scary. I have two babies and now I'm scared for them.
