After signing a lease with the apartment complex, we experienced several problems. When these problems were combined with the reports/ratings on this website, we became very, very paranoid. After communicating with the manager, we are more than happy with the apartments. The manager was incredibly professional and caring. All of our complaints were addressed, and an effort to remedy them has been initiated. As far as problems reported before on this site:
1. Returning calls/ getting a hold of the office---we did have some difficulty getting in touch with the office; however, the answering service was very professional and recorded our requests. Any time the word emergency (no matter the size) was attached to a message, we received a call within the hour if not sooner. Additionally each time I have spoken with an apartment representative, I have been given the courtesy of their FULL attention, and an effort has immediately been made to fix any problems.
2. The dumpsters---there are several dumpsters everywhere. They are conveniently located and looked very clean.
3. Gates---gates were being fixed (I witnessed the man fixing them). People do drive wildly coming around the corner so watch out if you are walking or driving to not get hit.
4. Maintenance---very professional and helpful
5. Parking--plenty, I am WAY MORE than happy with the parking. Parking is significantly closer than any apartment complex I have lived.
6. Crime---programs similar to neighborhood watch are being initiated. I am very pleased with the efforts being made within the apartment community (by the management) to increase everyone??s' safety.
7. Noise level---I have not heard anything!!! I came from a very nice apartment complex that you could hear every little thing from the people above you. This complex seems to have been built very well! I was on the patio, and a dog was barking right outside. I went inside and shut the patio door and could not hear a thing (but could still see the dog??s mouth moving).
That is all I can think to comment on at this time. I realize other posters have been very unhappy, but I have not shared a similar experience.
Any apartment complex is going to have problems. The thing that is important to me is how quickly and professionally they are delt with. It has been my experience so far that the management of this complex cares about its tenants, its reputation, and its responsibilities. I am glad we "found" them.

I agree. I've lived at prior properties that some of the management have worked at, and they do care. A lot of the posts here are crazy. Some of them talk about the management's body parts, etc. and it is just uncalled for. If unhappy people just go to the office and talk like civilized adults instead of animals, they might get their problems resolved. I say 'animals' because I witnessed an office person get threatened with a stapler by a resident. Bad.

Well, you know what "Mr. Know It All." I did got to the office. I was told I had to make an appointment to talk with the manager. Made the stupid appointment and came back then told they couldn''t meet with me. Why? They are scared of the truth. Then they threatened me. I don't take kindly to that and I will have the final say. MBS has yet to return my calls. Just a poor-poor organization that lacks any kind of organization and managerial skills.

Thats because the manager who i guess i cant say her name avoids the residents. if there is a problem she will have her employees tell the resident that she is busy and cant talk to them at that time. Even though she is just sitting back there doing nothing. In any other apartment the manager always talks to residents when they want to speak to them. Its good customer service but MBS doesnt care because they hire and bum off the street to work for them.

I am no animal nor do I act like one so I do take that in offense when I state my complaints about this complex and mbs. I have faxed the same list of requested repairs 3X. One of which includes a mold issue. None of the repairs have been resolved. My apartment was flooded out and they wouldn't even move me to another apartment. These people are really inconsiderate and highly unprofessional.
