We have lived in these apartments for too long. We have had nothing but trouble. We never have parking, the maintance is horrible, noisey, they try to stick you with all sorts of fines and its way too expensive to have to deal with all that. We had 2 little sun catchers in our window and they were going to fine us $50.00 if we did not remove them ASAP, after the fact that they had been up for 5 or 6 months. We have had a fire alarm beeping in our 2nd room for months now and they still havent come and fixed it. We have tried ourselves and it wont ever stop. There are spead bumps every 5 ft. and a dumpster everywhere you look and yet there is still overwhelming amounts of trash around them. They didnt send us a notice that we had to put in our 60 day notice of moving out and so we got stuck with paying for another month and not even living there during that time either. I have talked to some other apartments owned by the same company and they informed me that Signature Ridge is their problem property and that more than likely they were going to be selling it soon. SO in conclusion this place is not worth pay or living you would be better off somewhere else.

Well in resprct to your comments the property is not obligated to send you notice that your lease is coming up. That is your job. It is stated in your contract the amount of time that is required for a proper notice. Now you are complaining about the trash. I guess that you did not live here when there were only 2 trash areas for the whole property. The trash is picked up 3 times a week. The property has 612 apartments and ofcourse there is going to be trash. The speed bumps were put in place because so many people were complaining to the old property management and the city about how fast people were driving through the property so that is why there are so many. It is for the safety of the drivers as well as residents just walking across the street. It is also stated in your contrcat that you are not allowed to put anything up for display in window. It doesnt matter how long you had it up for when it is seen and asked to be removed then just take it down. I can tell that you are not a first time renter and these are concerns that you need to ask the front office for instead of bitching on here.

wow, this looks wonderful the apartment community cussing at former tenants for telling the truth...it's disgraceful

I know! It is really sad that they sit and read these reviews and try to cover up the truth instead of actually doing their job.

Too Bad for you I lived there but I Have been working in the industry for many years and it is sad to say that do not know anything about living in an apartment complex. You would think that being the smart adults that you think you are you would read the contract before you sign it. That way if you had a valid complaint you would come across knowledgable in the comments that you make on here instead of sounding like a cry baby on here. More that half of the property is made of kids whos parents pay for their apartment while they go to school. So I guess you are used to crying and getting what you want. But this is the real world. It is time for you to grow up. Deal with your problems like an adult. Please if you are a former tenant then move on already!!!!!! Take it as a lesson learned and do more research before you and your parents sign on the dotted line!!!. And for "hottmama?" Please I dont have any affliation with the community, I go to many apartment communities on here to inform non educated people like yourself about contracts and grown-up stuff. Now go back to your mommmy and daddy.

Hey Helper no one that works in the industry for a legit management company would post on here defending anything MBS does so that right there is the dead give away that you work for schmuck. I too work in the industry and I can tell you for a fact the owner of the management company doesnt care a wink about any of the residents in his communities. Hes in it for the money and for the money alone. He cuts spending at all his properties in order to maximize profits. The scary thing is the guy is buying up more properties in San Antonio. I dont know how he can continue to engage in these dispicable business practices and not get put in jail.
And also FYI in the contract it also states that the landlord has a responsibility to the tenant to upkeep the grounds and respond to maintenance issues in a timely manner. Just like the tenants have the responsibility to follow the rules and pay rent the landlord is legally obligated to make sure that the tenant is taken care of as well...which they arent! Why dont you quit defending this horrible company and come to the light like the rest of us.
Oh and since you are so knowledgable im wondering why you forgot that it is illegal to disclose any information about what types/races/age groups etc live on property. That would be breaking federal law smart one. So check yourself before you start talking crap about others..all that shows is your own insecurity about the company for whom you work for.

Now I am a resident at Signature Ridge and I am NOT a student nor do my parents pay for my rent, but I do have a few problems with the management, maintenance being one of them. I don't know what the protocol is if a work order is requested multiple times, but I'm pretty sure that it should only be once and the management should be responsible for getting maintenance out to the respective apartment. That was suppposed to be one of the benefits of renting an apartment, maintenance being taken care of. Also, with regards to the 60 day notice of move out, I agree that it's in the contract, but in an industry that is based on customer service, sales and retention, the management should do a better job at servicing their customers and making sure that they can retain their residents. I know that the management recently changed so maybe things will get better for the residents, but what I can honestly say now is that I had a much better experience at The Lodge.

Let me help all of you out.......the apt. office IS required to send a renewal notice to your door at least 5 days in advance of your 60-day notice date. This will tell you whether or not there will be a rent increase or if it will remain the same. This will allow the renter time to put in a notice to vacate and also serves as a little reminder of the end of the lease contract.
