I literally just moved into Signature Ridge, and I already adore it to pieces!
I know some of you will say, "Oh give it time, you'll start to hate it." But you see, in the few weeks I've been here I've had several HUGE problems and I still love it here. I guess it helps that I moved here from one very atrocious complex down the road on Callaghan/I-10.

First of all, I need to give ----------- some love. She is just adorable! I have never met somebody so full of cheer and smiles in all my life. I openly admit that my experience in meeting you is what made me take another look. You see, I'm a fan of NEWER apartments myself, but your prize winning personality just hooked me.

These are my complaints AND positive experiences I have had thus far....

1) The speed bumps suck, but they are a necessary evil. I'd rather have them than speeding cars racing down the roads.
2) The first day I moved in, the AC was broken. Maintenance was here withing 15 minutes of my phone call, and the issue was resolved before another 15 minutes had passed. Apparently they had a problem with kids stealing the little flipper thingies (sorry, I'm technically challenged) a few months before we had moved in, and because our apartment was vacant they had overseen ours. The gentleman was a sweetheart and took it upon his self to top off the freon level as well. Now the air is so cold I'm frozen at times. Lack of AC was a BIG problem at my last complex.
3) Our gate openers were improperly programmed and there were a few times we were stuck waiting for someone to either come in or leave. All it took was us going down to the office and we haven't had a problem since.
4) Our dishwasher is broken! It makes a weird noise, puts off this burning smell and no water is released. I called in the work order and they came the next day but I was sleeping and didn't get up to unlock the door, so the fault is all on me for that one.
5) The parking is pretty crappy. I guess it all depends on what time you're trying to find a spot. Pretty much all day long up until everybody is getting home from work is just fine. But I'm a nightshifter, so when I'm coming home in the wee hours of the night and can't find a spot by my building, I get a bit aggravated.
6) Because our apartment was already vacant, they let us sign our lease and move in a complete 30 days before scheduled, RENT FREE! I just thought that was fantastic. On top of that, they only charged us a pet deposit for ONE of our animals instead of the both. Yes, it's $300 NONrefundable, but I look at it as having saved $300!
7) My most recent concern has been the mailbox key. I think I was given the wrong one because mine will absolutely not fit into the slot! Now it's just a matter of me getting down to the office to have that taken care of.
8) I know I have neighbors. I have SEEN them firsthand. However, I have YET to hear a single one of them through the walls. This is so liberating. I could hear EVERYTHING at my last complex, and here it's like I have my own little house and don't have to deal with the neighbor's drama! Hooray for non-paper thin walls!

So yeah, I know I'm still a new resident but I have already recommended several friends who are coming towards the end of their leases to Signature Ridge. This place just plain rocks.
