I moved out on October, although my lease was not over until Jan 09. Effin management is absolutely HORRIBLE. I moved in with a friend who owed money to signature ridge in previous years. She had to move out when she lived there because her then-roommates were drug addicts... they broke the lease and left the place destroyed so she was screwed because her name was on the lease. Ok so we moved in and the apt was only under my name. When I first moved in, I told them that I was going to live alone for a couple of months, then have someone move in and they said ok. I was a couple thousand dollars short on the income requirements and they said it was okay for me to move because i would eventually have someone move in. they never asked for their name or income amount. So after living there for 9 months (3 months until my lease is over) they called me and asked for my roommate to sign the lease. I couldnt have my friend sign because they would obviously acknowledge that she owed money and wouldnt approve her. Both of us walked to the office and explained to them and they said that I would have to move out because my income was not sufficient. After living there 9 months!!! I understand it was my fault as well because I didn't have her sign to begin with, but seriously... there was never a problem, no complaints, never paid late and they made me break my lease! effin jerks. i hate them. i got a bill in the mail for $5,301. That included breaking of the lease fees, two months rent which is in the handbook, and all these fees that should not have been there! they charged 3,200 for the carpet which was not bad to where they had to replace it. When washed it looked extra clean. my rent had been prorated for a special price so they included all the special deductions to my balance. now i cant get an apt because of my rent history. i hate this place. there were many break-ins. parking is absolutely horrible. There were always parties going on. Four guys lived upstairs (who were the maintenance) and ranged from ages 22-25. They were party animals. Day/night/week/weekend. We always complained and mngmt never did anything about it because they lived there. ugh. i'm getting upset just thinking about my experience there. DO NOT DO IT. THEY ARE MONEY SUCKING BASTARDS.

I'm looking for an apartment and decided to look on this website, And never have i heard someone explain the exact reason they got charged. Sounds like your roomate screwed you!
