I just moved out of Signature Ridge!

Do not move into these apartments, your utility bills will be high, no dual pane windows at this complex!! You will notice there are a lot of windows. Maintenance can't fix a toilet, I had to live with a toilet that did not flush properly for my whole lease, lucky I had two bathrooms. I had breakers tripping daily nearly the whole time I lived there, my AC worked on and off throughout the season. The heater tripped the breaker as soon as you would turn it on. If I did get maintenance to come over, they could not properly fix the problems. Problems would re-occur. I gave up calling them at the end.

I got flooded out twice from an apartment above me the first month I moved in; May of 2008. They moved me across the complex into another apartment from first floor to the second floor. There again is where I had to put up with other problems at that complex, water breaks that lasted for days, I had to go to a hotel just to get a good night sleep during a 3 day water outage. I also had my vehicle vandalized, a toy trailer that I had stored on the back side of the property was tagged with paint and and locks were broken when someone tried to break into the empty trailer. They say they have security, but you never see them. I have lost thousands because I lived there. I had to buy an alarm system with pager just so I could catch someone breaking into my vehicle. Their yard maintenance people will screw up your ride too, with their blowers blowing pebbles and debris onto your vehicles. I have pits all along my Jeep because of them and a crack on my windshield. As a tenant there you don't have any writes as it seems.

Here is the real kicker!! I moved in these apartments at 1137 Medical Dr. because my wife got a job 10 minutes from the apartment. My wife and I split up, and I stayed in the apartment to full-fill my obligation and stayed until my lease was up. I had told management that I would not renew my lease when the lease was up do to all the headache I had to deal with living at those apartments. At close of the lease I had gone to the office to drop off a check for rent, and told them I would be moving in a couple of months. I was told that I needed a written notice, I told them why should I go back to the apartment and write two words on a piece of paper that says I'm moving; Remember my lease is up anyway! The business associates are all siting at desks and have pen and paper I asked them to write on a paper since that is what they are asking for. One of the ladies in the office said she would jot it down on a note and put it in my file/ folder and that was sufficient, I had already been telling them verbally that I was not renewing my lease for over 8 months, and reminded them every time I had an issue with the apartment or complex.

Just before I was getting ready to move they were putting flyers on my door to renew with them and they would make some kind of deal with me, I saw one of the managers in the parking lot and told him to have the office quite putting those flyers on my door that I was not going to renegotiate the lease. I told him I had a job offer in an other city up north and had to move. He told me OK, he would advise them.

Now I just want to tell you people, I lived there for a year, had $80.000 in the bank. I paid them on time every month!! I wanted to make sure that I satisfied the lease so it would not go on my credit report or judged as a bad reference when I moved, but that did not happen. The new real estate office I was dealing with at first told me what someone at Signature Ridge said I moved out without notice like it was a surprise to them, when I tried to resolve the matter, they would not even call the real estate company back. I lost a couple of homes that were options for me to move into because of Signature Ridge giving me a bad reference for not giving notice.

When I moved and tried to get a new residence, they told the Real estate agent that I had not given my notice and they screwed me bad. So here is the deal you might as well just move out of that complex if you think you are stuck in a lease there, it doesn't matter because they will try to screw you on your exodus. If I would had known I was going to be raked over the coals by not renewing the lease, I would have left as soon as I had my first flood living there!

Parking is also a nightmare! You will not want to go anywhere after you get home if you do get a parking spot, because late in the evening visitors will have your spot.

P.S. If you take an apartment on the ground floor you are most likely to be broken into. I had a maintenance guy tell me that more than three apartments were broken into at this complex one weekend after I saw the police all over the complex. aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb
