Think Twice

The lawns are cut and trimmed weekly, but there is no other upkeep. Large expanses of bare dirt exist throughout, where the grass has died. Irrigation depends on the rain. The Management is immature, young, defensive, and does not know how to talk to people in a positive, supportive way. Notes and announcements are placed on each door, regularly, with incomplete information, undated, and unsigned. Following the rules is more important than living quietly. The "Kirby" diesel yard is across the street, and trains regulary vibrate floors and boom their sounds day and night. The garbage dumpsters are a nuisance, poorly maintained with gouged out holes in the pavement caused by the dumpster truck. Houseflies abound. The mail box is a 10 minute walk away. Some boxes owned by the postoffice are unmaintained and the locks often do not work. Lots of elderly, with walking problems need help getting to the mail box, and taking trash to dumpsters. No help offered. Only Time Warner Cable and Internet available. No other companies have permission to install in apartments. I see disabled residents with electric carts having great difficulty navigating the narrow sidewalks and irregular surfaces. Few ramps exist. While they advertize as being pet friendly, I had to pay $415 to get permissions, forms, vetrinary inspections to keep my tiny dog.
