I moved there for a few months last summer while my husband was at Lackland. I was surpised how lovely it was, and loved my apartment. Neighbor's were nice. Didn't have any problems with moving in or out. They didn't charge me for anything rediculous. I even became friends with one of the girls in the office. I needed to change my lease a few times and never had any problems, they were very helpful. Plus, I got my full deposit back within a few weeks.

Maintenance was always pretty prompt, and things didn't go wrong very often. My AC did give out mid-july- but was fixed within an hour. Had a nice job across the street at the ingram mall, and really felt safe in the area.

I did have a problem with security... or lack thereof. Half the time the gate was wide open- even late at nite. Also- one time I was in the computer lab late at nite, and walked out to go to the bathroom... left my keys inside and came back to find that the electronic locks had a timer and locked me out. So not only was I locked out of the computer lab- I couldn't get into my apmt or car. Of course there was no security to help me, and no one answered emergency line. So I ended up sleeping in the fitness center until the office opened the next morning.

Also, there was one particular woman in the office who was always really nasty. I think her name was rhonda or something like that. I got a dollar stuck in the moneycard machine (for the laundry) once and she was pulling trying to get it out, and tore my dollar in half... then she said I broke the machine and couldn't put money on my card until someone came to fix it. So I couldn't do laundry until the next day and my husband had to go to work wearing dirty clothes.

Near the end of my stay, I had some very loud upstairs neighbors who sounded like they were constantly dropping large objects and stomping around. I alerted mngmt, they sent a notice, and the problem stopped within a day.

Other than those few incidents, my time at Stoneybrook was really nice. However my friend in the office did say that they were getting new management and she wasn't happy, and was leaving stoneybrook. So by this point things could be a little less happy.
