My Recommendation: Look for a different place to live

The owners rave about the safety of the complex and how there is never any crime. Not a week went by during my residency that I didn't see SAPD at the complex at least twice a week. I acquired a crime history report on The Summit from SAPD after being a victim of a crime there. The number of vehicle & apartment burglaries are quite high and rather suspicious.

I highly suggest looking for an apartment complex that is run by a management company as this generally insures that most issues are dealt with in a timely, professional and satisfactory manner.

Yeah I think you need to check out your information before you run your mouth off. I really did the research before I moved here and this complex had no bad reports since the new owners took over. As for having a management company run the complex that is stupid because they don't care about the place cause they are just there to rent the apartments and make money. If you have independent owners they care about the place and they take care of it, rather than letting it go. I am glad you are either moving out or have already moved out because you were probably the reason that the crime came here. Take care and don't come back.

I have lived here for 3 years and never had a problem and the office staff and owners do everything that they can do to keep it safe...As far as SAPD and HPPD being here it is becuase they LIVE HERE and if it was so unsafe then WHY IN THE HELL would they live here???...Another thing I think maybe you brought whoever commited the crime against you because nothing ever goes on here....again check your information!!!

I have lived at the Summit for six months and just extended my lease. I did my homework before moving here, and I'm glad I did. The owners care about the complex and tenants. I feel safe in my apartment and on the grounds at all hours of the day and night.

Hey, jiggleboy, first of all i live here, and I don't appreciate you insulting my home. This is the nicest complex I have ever lived at, and that is why I'm glad TRASH like you moved out. Oh, and by the way, I heard a VERY interesting story about some LOSER who broke into his own apartment and got caught. Hmm....I wonder what stupid fool would do that? Probably someone who is too LAZY to work for his money like everyone else. Anyway, apparently STUPID is as STUPID does. I hope the ------- enjoys his STOLEN money because what goes around comes around. I wish his next VICTIM good luck.

I love living here! After moving from ASHLEY OAKS, this place is AWESOME, the police live near me and there is NO crime, if there is suspicious behavior, it will be reported IMMEDIATLY! the owners of this complex are thoughful of their tenants and take pride (as they should) in their complex! i WOULDN'T live ANYWHERE else!

5 of the above responses were posted on 2 days and within 3 days of the original post. How did so many users find out about this review in order to respond? Why would 5 separate people respond to this, anyway? Sounds like management was browsing on here and decided to make up a few usernames to contradict the original person's information. Also sounds like the original person was probably correct in their assessment. Methinks the complex doth protest too much!

I am reading the posts and I agree with noahluna about the responses, but as a past tenant, I will say that HPPD did live there, actually the officer lived in the building directly across from mine. I did research before i moved in and it was before the new owners took over. I was a very happy tenant, and they were on top of things. I had a friend who was staying with me and they did a background check on him and because he had a felony from 20 yrs ago, he had to leave. I really loved this complex and the staff.
