Too many plumbing problems

I've been here less than six months, but I've had water come into my apartment three times.
The first time it happened, I found a small river running from the front wall of my garage. They tried to tell me it was coming from my washing machine, even though it hadn't been used at ALL for three days. The washer repair guy came out, tested it in front of me, and determined it was a bad washer drain in the apartment above me.
The second time, I woke up to find water dripping from the ceiling light fixture (!)of my spare bedroom. It turned out that the toilet in the apt above me had backed up. Then about a month later, I came home to water dripping from several places on the master bath ceiling. Apparently the toilet in the OTHER apt over me had backed up.
To be fair, the maintenance guys come out promptly, but they say there's nothing they can do; they just have to clean it up and wait for the water to stop.
This is ridiculous. I've lived in apartments for years, and never had close to the water problems I've had here. To repeat, I've had water soaking my stuff THREE times in less than six months. This is completely unacceptable, especially for the price. I plan to move when my lease is up.
