You'll instantly improve your quality of life by avoiding this shoddily run apartment complex

We have actually lived in two Legends at Talavera apartments. The first being a three-bedroom apartment, the second, a three-bedroom den.
Our first apartment was a repair nightmare. You name it, it broke or was "near broke" during our stay. The carpeting was old and matted, and truly looked dingy. Maintenance was pathetic, and usually took at least 3 visits to fix any problem (each visit requiring at least 2 follow-up calls to ensure they would show up, or 1 in-office, in front of potential renters in-person complaint.
Office staff was inconsistent at best. Their turnover is unbelievable. In the short time we have been in these apartments, they have had three managers, and it looks like they are moving toward #4.
Security is nonexistent. The on-site officer shows up when he feels like it. To report something gets no follow-up, and if you?re unfortunate enough to live in one of the buildings with a "CORPORATE" apartment, this means that any idiot who has rented a Talavera apartment can move his whole clan into your building for a day or weekend, throw loud parties, (and by the way, criminals are welcome!!! the office has confirmed- no criminal checks for *these* special visitor folks), and at the end of it, you can bask in the glow of broken beer bottles on the front porch, and stinky bags of trash left in the hallway by the lackluster cleaning crew.
When it comes time to renew... just a FYI, talavera requires a 60 day notice. Ever try to secure your next apartment 61 days in advance' It?s a total pain in the ass. If for no other reason, no one who isn?t currently here, should move here... That is, if you?re interested in knowing where you?re going to before you place notice on where you are currently living.
I?ve read the other postings, and I have to say... yes, yes, and amen yes. Everything resembling service here, sucks. Don?t count on a three-digit IQ response from anyone representing talavera, unless it is time to sign a "contract" with them, and sudenly the shrewdness comes out.
Save yourself hundreds of dollars a month, keep your blood-pressure low, and you?ll see that there are several nicer apartments available locally, and signifcantly better price and service structures.
Good luck!
