It's very illogical of you to post a review with only one week experience. It feels like you are an advertiser from those commercials that say "75% of the participants agree" but they don't tell you the total number of participants. Is it 100? Is it 4? Do they agree on the product’s effectiveness? Or is it they agree the product is ineffective? If you feel any differently in 6 months or so (which you probably will), I recommend you post another more accurate review. People that read these reviews need your well-researched opinion. Some might not read your review and see that you’ve only been in the apartments for a week. When I first moved in (July of 07), I loved the complex for about 5 or 6 months. I never really interacted with the staff (save for the application process) so I liked them just fine. I was patient with the gates, the construction, and the trash. I understand the apartments are relatively new and needed time to fix all the loose ends. I have no pets, therefore, I have not seen the "puppy park" and I cannot give an accurate opinion of it. The noise varies depending on your neighbors. If you have a couple for neighbors that fight every night beginning 12 am and ending around 2 am, it can get a little annoying. I don’t blame the complex for the neighbors. I do believe they could have spent a little more money on the insulation supplies and contractors. I gave them a chance with the gates. They said they would be closing in Nov then changed it to two weeks later. This I didn’t mind. I don’t mind if they extend the date, but it would be professional of them to send a notice saying the gates they purchased aren’t working properly and they apologize. I pay too much in rent for a “gated-community” that is not even a “gated-community.” If they are going to have so many issues with the gates, they should give us all some money back for the false promise. I don’t blame them for the gates not working, but they could have contracted a higher bidder. If you’re going to buy something that will fall apart in a couple of weeks it’s not worth buying. The bugs will come to your apartment in time. I didn’t notice the bugs until 3 months in. They spray the apartment but the bugs still come in. If they would have built better doors with appropriate weather stripping, the bugs wouldn’t be a problem. This is an issue of the lowest bidder getting the job, again. Once you have time to go to the pool and actually use it you’ll see that it is TOO small for the number of residents. There’s only a couple of bbq pits. And there is not enough space between the pool and the bbq pit. The tables are too far away, so you can’t really cook there and have a pool party. I don’t go to the pool, so this is not a problem for me, but it might be for those pool-lovers that are looking for a good apartment complex. There is only one trash compactor, again, not enough for the amount of residents. The “java bar” is a coffee maker on top of the kitchen counter. I have had an issue with the maintenance staff. I asked for something to get fixed when I first moved in (which means I had very little things unpacked) and they came in while I was gone. When I came to my apartment to see if they had fixed the wall, I noticed some of my DVDs were moved, my guitar was on a different spot, and they used my bath towel (at the time I didn’t have a hand towel) to dry their hands. Let me remind you that I don’t have a pet, and so I was very upset at this and I contacted the office and they were kind and said they would reprimand the maintenance person that worked on the wall. Now, can I be sure they did this? No. I cannot. The point is, Mr./Ms One-Week-Resident, make sure you’ve done your homework before you post a review that is supposed to HELP consumers, not misinform them.

I would have to say this is an employee of the complex.

If not an employee then a friend of one. Or maybe someone who works for western rim prop. Anyhow, its seriously irresponsible to post a review just one week into living at an apartment. Ive lived here since the office was a trailer and Susan was the manager. Basically 1yr6mnths. It has gotten better with time, but it just hasnt been worth it. There were way too amny problems that occured. i have to say though, Ive never had a problem with the maintenance staff. Its not their fault that this place was built by the lowest bidder. I used to be an apartment maintenance man so I have an idea of what they're dealing with. I wouldnt work here even if they offered me a six figure salary. It wouldnt be worth all the pissed off tenants. Anyhow, I will never recommend this place to anyone. Well, maybe someone I didnt like, but thats neither here nor there. Whats funny though is if you google western rim properties and go to their website. DECIEVING!!! But yeah, back to the original point, only review an apartment after like at least 3 months. not knocking ya, but just trying to make it better out there for everyone else who reads these reviews. I recommended a friend quite a while back before all the crap started up, and now he cant wait to get out of his lease. I seriously feel guilty. It was an easy 500 bucks, but just not worth seeing a friend so miserable.

Yeah, it is impossible to know just how bad or good an apartment is after 1 week. They are very nice to you while you are first moving in and get the lease signed and will say anything to you at that moment, but afterward they do not care about anything you have to say. WHile in the office, one girl told someone the rush hour traffic isn't that bad and it only takes 10 min to get here on 281 from 1604 if you are an aggressive driver and that is a lie! And maintenance was good about fixing our leaky toilet, just not too bright because we locked our door from the outside but they told us they couldn't get in....eventually did get into the apartment to fix it. And anyway making a comment about maintenance afer 1 week doesnt sound good...did you have to use them already?? Sounds like a bluff just like the ones WRP has on the apt website.
