Now I understand one of the detriments to living in an apartment is the fact that you will have to deal with some level of noise. Unfortunately, when the apartments are so poorly designed and cheaply built that when someone passes gas on the other side of the building you can hear it in your apartment, something isn't right.
I've honestly never had the displeasure of living next to so many inconsiderate neighbors in my life. It seems the home stereo craze has someone convinced people that they no longer need be considerate concerning their stereo volumes. These apartments are essentially one giant bass box.
Add to this the fact that they stick inexpensive 1 bedroom apartments right up against the more expensive multi-room apartments.
Apparently its ok to play your stereo at any volume between the hours or 7:00 am and 10:00 PM. Some neighbors take that to the extreme and play their music all day, every day.
If you want even some modicum of peace and quiet, avoid this place like the plague.

I agree with this response. I am in building 40 and there is a freaking idiot who lives in this building and has his music blaring and bassing from the second he wakes up until 2:00 in the morning. It is so bad that I feel like I am in a beyond ghetto rappers club. To make matters worst, he was fighting with his significant other recently, swearing, slamming doors and throw things at each other for at least 4 hours at night. It was beyond insane, especially since security did not even respond to the call that was placed. It was so bad that I slept in my living room versus my bed, due to not knowing what could happen between them. Overall, I can hear a majority of my neighbors conversations, which are never pleasant and unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about it. The gates are a joke, especially since there is no code that can be used to get in when they actually work for a mere moment, which is nice to have to allow a family member or guest in versus them trying to contact you to get into the premises. In regards to the trash compactor, I agree that it is a freaking joke. I would never place the compactor by a micro playground, since there are kids running around with not a single parent watching on their child and is always full trash and flies and bugs everywhere. In regards to bugs, I was out of town for a week, and there was at least 75 to 100 dead bugs in the inside entrance of my apartment, which was beyond disgusting. My carpet is the worst, since it smells like a dog had stayed there previously and evidently the carpet was not cleaned correctly or the carpet should have been replaced however it never was. Overall, this place is not the apartments that I thought it would be. The only reason why I am sending this anonymously, is due to the fact that the cops are always there, and due to the high amount of low income/inconsiderate people that live in this complex, who knows what they might do to retaliate. I sincerely cannot wait to get out of here and as soon as possible! Therefore, anyone who is considering, don't you will be saving yourself $ and your own personal safety!

Wow, sounds like my thoughts EXACTLY...and to anonymous there, the carpet and noise level is better at my aunt's apartment and she pays 200.00 less a month. This carpet is cheap, crunchy, and hard...it actually hurts my feet!
