Perfect place to live

First of all, I find it humorous that when one person gets pissed off at the staff because they left their apartment in ------ shape and subsequently get fined for it, they write not just one, but numerous bad reviews dragging the %age of this wonderful place down.

I graduated from college this past summer and the Lodge was my first apartment experience. Not only was the staff more helpful than at other places I looked, they continue to answer my various questions and are nothing but servants to good tenants. Maintainance is speedy and friendly, the grounds are beautiful, the apartments are quiet and safe, and the rent reasonable for what you are getting (a fabulous apartment experience).
Generally, only the people who get pissed off (because they have rightfully been fined for messing up an otherwise beautiful apartment) write comments on here. Other people (90% of the residents) are completely satisfied with their experience here and simply do not think to write a good review because of the other trash that is written here. The low percentage is simply nonsensical and the only benefit to leaving it low is that we get the place to ourselves because other people don't give it a chance :-)

There is a rude meathead man that likes to work out in the gym on Mondays (and two or so other days a week, you can tell by looking at his slightly less than manly physique and generously proportioned abdomen) and refuses to let anyone turn the lights on. He claims it makes the gym too hot. Funny that he's never heard of how a thermostat works, to control this 0.002 percentage increase in temperature. He will rudely go behind you and turn the lights back on, even if you go get management. This has been my only let-down, this man who is too old to be living here anyways won't let me work out in peace on Monday evenings. I just go other times or look through the window to see if the lights are on or off. Lol, it's actually humorous and I laugh with the staff about him. (I actually shouldn't even mention this in my review, but I'd like him to see this and take the hint...fat chance :-)

Other than meathead, I enjoy the Lodge. Kara, the assistant manager is intimidating but don't let her scare you away, and the manager and other girls in the office have been nothing but helpful. They are military friendly, I feel safe, it has great places to walk (a pastime of mine), is dog-friendly, and has the most beautiful apartments I have seen in San Antonio. Check it out if you want a 5-star experience and an upscale living arrangement.

There, I said it. An honest and comprehensive apartment review that you can trust. :-)
