Parking is ASS. When I first moved in it was just OK, but now I leave and someone is immediately parking where I just moved from. Many times, I have to park outside of the gates of an expensive ass apt. that I've paid for. Unacceptable. Noise is generally low, but if you have upstairs neighbors, be prepared. I've had nothing but terrible upstairs neighbors. I can understand noise, since they are upstais, but I mean most of them sound like they weighed 400 lbs. I can hear this damn dog barking on and on all day. When the lawn landscapers come through, you can really hear everything. Try working night shift, and trying to sleep when they come through. The looks on the outside and inside really are great, top-notch I'd say. Occasionally there would be some tree branches extending into the walkway, not a real problem though. The biggest thing is the dog-bombs around my apt. This is just trifling owners but it is noticeable. The apts are built well, except when I first moved in, I had a terrible problem with silverfish, earwigs, spiders, and scorpions. Yes, scorpions. When I called and reported a problem with insects, the lady on the line snapped at me with "What kind of bugs!" as if she was expecting me to say roaches or something. She explained that the construction of the new apts down the road was the cause of the increased insects. I mean how many people want to come home to scorpions, especially if you have children. One scorpion was well hidden inside my work uniform. I actually had pushed it out as I stuck my foot into the uniform. Not good. By the way. The insect problem has never cleared up, the scorpions did. You can't drink at the pool' What's up with that. You can't drink in the room with a pool table' Come on. I mean it's laid out like a bar in there anyway. The office people are rude. No denying that. They do help you if you have some thing easy. Face to face is the way to go, over the phone is guaranteed rudeness. Sometimes, sometimes, face to face you get rude behavior too. I mean sometimes, it's flat out rude. I mean I know everyone has bad days, but damn, customer service is YOUR JOB. If I pulled some of this crap at my job, I wouldn't have that job for long. This is trifling too. We got a tour to move in. The lady said, parking is really great, you don t have to fight with anyone for parking. You can park anywhere. So one day, we parked under a covered area, not knowing that it was reserved for people who paid and extra $35 per month. For that''' That s ass. Well, I was helping my wife move out of her other place into our new apt. I get a call from one office lady and she said my wife s car was about to get towed for being parked there' What' She explained the whole We charge for everything here thing. So I had one hour to get there and move it or be towed at my expense. Now it s time for me to move soon and I find out that if I don t turn in a 30-day notice letter that I m moving, I will get an extra $200 added to my rent' But how' I signed a 12 month lease not any more or any less. How can they add $$$ to the rent if I m not under contract past 12 months. I was cleaning up my apt and put a trash bag out the door that I was going to dump. Well cleaning takes some time. It was out there only about an hour. I had a notice that afternoon that I was going to be charged $50 dollars per day, per bag of trash that is visible outside. Can you see any pattern here' I know, I did sign a contract with them, but these past 12 months have given them enough time to show their true colors. Their color is GREEN and they care about nothing more than money. My biggest problem here is the We charge you for everything and parking is absolute ASS. For that, I would not recommend ANYONE live here. It really is not worth it.
