When I moved here in 2004, it was a lifesaver to find an apartment with a two car garage, hardwood floors and granite countertops. It was nicer than any of the others that I had seen so I took it.
The property changed hands several months ago and it has gone steadily downhill since then. The grounds aren't kept as well and the shrubbery around my building hasn't been trimmed in months. The insulation is poor and the air unit cannot keep up in summer nor in winter. Electric bills over $210 in the summer just to maintain 72-74 inside.
The ant problem is stifling this year for everyone it seems, but the pest control people don't seem to have a clue. The office doesn't seem to be able to do anything about it.
The office staff have been cordial but don't seem to be able to catch up with the problems.
Definitely a departure is in order...no lease renewal this time around.

I am sorry but when I see a review on a property like this it makes me mad. I live here and I have never been happier. Just as you moved in with granite countertops and a 2 car garage the insulation has not changed either. It has been the same since you moved in. Furthermore, I guess that you have not been watching the news.Energy prices much like the gas prices are riseing so of course if you dont moderate your usage then your bill will be higher then what you are use to.And by the way if you havent noticed we are almost in the middle of nowhere. Bugs are going to be more prodominate out here than anywhere. I guess that you failed to notice the landscapers out here last week as well.I was talkinh with my neighbor the other day on how much better the landscaping was. Good luck finding a place like this.Trust me I have looked and when I found this place the phrase where do I sign came out.

You must be the only resident whose grass gets done properly. I have to clean up the landscapers mess off my front porch and patio. Not to mention the science experiment going on in the spa in the small pool area.

Retreatliving is probably a shill from the front office, as EVERYONE i've talked with has shared their displeasure with the new managment.
As for 'finding a new place like this,' just wait until Western Rim opens their NEW property outside of 281 on Canyon Lookout this winter. It will trump Mansions and they'll also learn from all of their mistakes.
My lease is up in December. You can bet i won't be renewing. I've been here for well over two years and for what they are still charging, i expect MUCH MUCH more.

I lived there for a year from 2003-2004, and it sounds like nothing has changed, or if it has, the change has only been for the worse. I'd stay away from any of the Western Rim properties, the quality they promise is just a facade covering incompetence, poor workmanship, unresponsive staff, and snobbish attitudes.

Western Rim sold that property to MBS long before you posted that. Just and FYI
