I've lived at Toscana for over three years now, and have completely enjoyed the experience. The management staff has turned over a couple of times, but the people now seem to be friendly and helpful. And the maintenance staff is fabulous! They always get the job done quickly and with no hassle. One Sunday evening, my door key broke off in the lock and I was completely locked out of the apartment. Luckily I had my cell phone and called the after hours number. They had the maintenance man out there within 30 minutes (and it was his day off) and he fixed the problem immediately -- and he didn't even charge me the $25 fee! Very friendly. I've also never had a problem with any of my neighbors (in fact, it's a pretty quiet property -- not a lot of loud parties. But beware of the pool in the summertime -- it's kid central!!!) And the cost is great! I am getting a great deal on the larger one-bedroom apartment (my rent has only increased once in three years) so I'm not complaining!
Overall, this has definitely been the best apartment complex I've lived in. My one complaint is that we don't do much as an apartment community. I have friends who are apartment managers at other really nice complexes around SA, and they are constantly throwing parties for their tenants and having little get-togethers or really nice Sunday brunches. We've never really had that atmosphere at Toscana -- which is possibly why after three years I still don't know my neighbors very well! Still, I would never think of moving (and my friends have tried to entice me to move to their apartment complex, but I'm not budging!)
