I've lived here for 3 years now since '05 when I moved to San Antonio. The manager at that time was the best - always stuck up for whatever you needed and promptly. Sadly, her liver was failing and she had to quit. Now whoever is in charge, however frequently that changes, I couldn't tell you.

But the time after she left is where you see the ratings plummet on this page. You're on your own here - I do fix things myself sometimes. It is always a "quick fix" if the maintenance come, and it's pretty shabby. Some things are better if you do them yourself anyway - especially if you are the one that has to live with it.

I've seen it all. Some people from John Jay like to pull up and honk for their carpools. You would think that since everyone has a cell phone, that may be more effective in summoning people than disturbing the neighbors late on the weekends (12am) or early in the morning (6-7 am).

They lowered their prices and now anyone can live here. There were some pot smokers/ crack dealers living across the way and used to make catcalls at my husband and me if we went out at night. They tore up their apartment, and left, and it took several months for the apartment to get fixed. Now this place is deserted in some buildings.

We have had 2 shootings (one was drug related) that I know of in the last 6 months. If you have a family, do yourself a favor and find a better community. I came from another state to this place, and now my impression of San Antonio is rather bad. It seems like everyone here is a wannabe gangsta from '93. Or maybe that is just the residents and the kids from John Jay that live here.

my friends and i love your '93 reference. i live here at trails too. i was here in 04 and moved back because of that experience. i agree in entirety to your post; and was told by the office verbatim that they wont remove bad people "because they cant afford to evict them and pay for the papers processed downtown and fees to restore the apts". all i can say is i cant wait for 6 more months to be over
