When I found this apartment, I thought to myself, "this is a nice area and it's not too expensive", so I decided to live there. I made an appointment to sign my lease, and when I went there to sign it, nobody was in the office. Turns out they "forgot" that I was coming in to sign my lease and move in. So here I am sitting in the parking lot with my U-Haul when I happen to catch one of the maintenance guys who lets me into the office and calls one of the leasing agents who then shows up a half hour later. It just gets worse from here. It took them four weeks to get me a copy of my lease (how long does it take to make a copy of a piece of paper'), the maintenance guys never answer their phone or return my calls. I have a leak in my apartment that I have been calling about for weeks, no returned phone calls. The place is old and run-down and I believe that I am paying way to much for what I have. I was promised a covered parking spot when I signed, but didn't get one. Instead I was told that since there is a parking lot in front of my apartment, I don't need a covered parking spot. Problem is, I live right next to the leasing office and everyone parks in that parking lot, including employees. So I end up having to park down the street, way far away from my apartment. I was duped into thinking this place was nice, and it is far from it. It just seems like the management doesn't care and I am definetely sorry that I signed a year lease. I will not be resigning, and I will be sure to stay away from Ridgemont Properties (Treehouse is managed by Ridgemont Properties, which also owns half of the apartments in Alamo Heights). I totally agree with you! My wife and I have lived here a year and I have never experienced such unprofessional attitudes towards management in my entire life. Our ceiling has collapsed from rain in both of our bedrooms 3 times. It is currently dripping on the floor right now. We asked them to fix this leak a month ago and they waited too long. Then the ceiling collapsed in a few places. They tore up or bedroom and we were not able to sleep in our own bed for 2 weeks so they could patch the ceiling without fixing the roof. Now everything in our apartment is covered with a 1/4" layer of plaster dust and the ceiling immediately started leaking again with the very next rain. I could go on and on and on. The man that came to fix the ceiling hit on my wife the whole time making her feel very uncomfortable. Imagine someone in your own home supposedly to fix the place making you feel like that?
Additionally they lost one of our rent checks even though we pay 2 weeks early every month and we have the most expensive apartment in the complex, they put threatening notice on our door telling us that we would be locked out in 3 days. They never even bother to call or visit and ask about the rent. My bank issued to check to the correct address and promptly issued another when we knew they "didn't receive" our rent.
The only reason we are still here is because we can't move right now. I would never recommend ANY Ridgemont property to anyone. Ever.
