No - I'm not a member of the staff. I think you will see this by my candor. I lived at Treehouse for five years - from 1999 until 2004. They changed management several times during that period. When I first moved in it was managed very well and the residents were good, too. However, that was the best it ever was. But it was okay.
At one point, I had some neighbors with heavy feet above me. I tried to talk to them about it but got nowhere. So the manager talked to them and the problem went away because the tenants moved out (chuckle).
I really liked living at Treehouse mainly because I like Alamo Heights. Cops run a tight ship. It's right next to a Blockbuster and Starbucks.
As far as maintenance goes, I don't have any expectations. Every spring my carpet would soak because the A/C drain in the apartment above would plug up. I just sort of expected it. My thermostat remained broke for several years, but again, I didn't really care.
I rarely swam in the pool because the water was generally cloudy and there was often debris - but again, that didn't matter to me that much.
The grounds are really pretty with all the trees. The units are old but I don't mind that. Bathroom fixtures and cabinets are dinosaurs, but for me that is okay.
Hey - you can't expect much from an apartment. There were no fires, rapes or murders while I was there and I always felt safe (well, truth be told, I have a CCW which helps wherever you are).
