This is my first semester at UTSA, and so far my experiences haven't really been anything like the other people who have posted reviews. Although, I can attribute part of that to luck, because apparently the people who had this apartment before us really tore up the furniture, so we got all new stuff. Anyways, I can see how one would think that the rooms are small, but compared to a dorm room at any other university these are fantastic. Whenever we've had problems with anything the maintenance people have fixed it within a week or so, and the few times I've needed anything from the management it was fairly easy. The only complaints I have are that there is a bad ant problem in our apartment, and I see them all around the Oaks, so I assume that others have the problem as well, and that there are no ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Also, I suppose this is overpriced compared to other apartments, but it is cheaper than Laural/Chap and even Chisolm, so I think it's still worth it if you want to live on campus. Another thing I like about Oaks is that you can practically park 30 feet from your front door, whereas I have friends at other schools that have to park in a random parking garage 30 minutes away from their dorms. So overall, I'd say my stay here was pretty good, and I'll probably be back for at least one more year.
