Ventana has let me down and made me look bad in the eyes of my new wife.

I have lived at Ventana apartments for almost 3 yrs and will not be renewing my lease with them. I have lived in two very nice apartments and never had an issue with ventana; as a matter of fact I have recommended and have had people move in to the complex on my recommendation. However, I will never recommend Ventana to anyone but my enemies from now on. I told my new wife that we should move in to a larger apartment together here at ventana because the maintenance is great, the grounds are quiet, and the staff is outstanding and will go out of their way to help you. The have proved me wrong on every account, I sit and write this as I have an overflowing toilet in the other room and have been waiting for maintenance to show up for the last hour. As we moved in their were several things wrong with the apartment and they were listed in detail on the walk through form; the repairs have been hit and miss, we also had to wait for over a month to get mail box keys after we were repeatedly told that they would drop them off for us. When we had a administrative issue to take care of with our lease we had taken care of our end and had informed the staff that it was time to take care of their part of the transaction. We expected it to be handled in accordance with the high standards that ventana had previously had; when we finally called back to make sure that it had been taken care of they informed us that they had forgotten to do it and now there would be a 4o dollar charge to handle it because 30 days had passed. When we explained to them that it wasn't our fault they told us that we should have called back sooner to make sure that they did their job properly. We had an ant problem and asked them to take care of it and when they had attempted to take care of it (and failed) they were so care less with the poison that it had tracked through the apartment and got into the carpet which we didn't realize until my 8 month old daughter's hand were covered in ant poison. Go somewhere else to live this place sucks. P.S. I have attached a picture of what we had to wait for maintenance to fix and they took their sweet time.

Buy a plunger, it's not their job to fix that.
