The apartment manager is highly incompetent and generally a pain to deal with. She is also very careless and does not run background checks on prospective tenants. There was a child molestor living in the apartment upstairs from me, while there were young children residing in the building. No notice or letter was sent to tenants regarding the moving-in of such a sexual offender, creating an obviously dangerous situation! There is no on site management after hours.

Ummmm....how did you find out there was a child molestor if noone told you? I have lived at this apartment for over 6 months and just signed another lease. There is never any problems here and the manager is not incompetent, some people will just never be happy. But way to make up a claim about something that you can't prove on this site...good job.

You can find out where sex offenders live using the SAPD's database. Meghan's Law made it possible for them to share address, name, and details of each sex offender and you can search by zip code I do believe. I have used the database many times to check areas and apartment complexes to see who allows sex offenders and who doesn't. Sex offenders are required to be in the database by law.

Yes this is true. The area around the medical center alone is crawling with sex offenders.
