Q: is there a lot of robbery there and is it safe?

A: It is what it is. Its a matter of deciding what you will and wont live with. Its cheap rent, but in exchange for that cheap rent you get to deal with old appliances in various states of disrepair, black mold, faulty heating and cooling systems and the ever popular string of drug deals going down openly. Q: when will this place,will like an home to live? Also, when will section 8 be gone w/ all the people?
A: They say they don't accept section 8 anymore, but there are a lot people from New Orleans & other shady-looking characters that seem to belong in the ghetto. (No this is not about race- there are ALL races that appear hood or trailer-park trashish-LOL) This management is not professional & they put up a front- that the apartments are so nice & clean. I for one- cannot get them to fix my A.C. the rt. way, I had a flood that left mold!!! Also, I renewed my lease & they Never clean my carpet & I can't get rid of these ants, sugar & fire ants! Q: Is moving in to the Sunset Canyon a good idea?
A: Do not move in htere. They are terrible... the management is very disorganized with thier rentors dues and their maintenance does shabby work. They have a boiler for heating water and it breaks all the time, they have exposed wiring which I have reportedd to the city along with water pipes leaking for months at a time that I reported. I made the mistake to move there because my job was off of Thousand Oaks. You would be better at the Villas of Henderson Pass. I lived there before and loved the management, the neighbors, and how well the response is to repairs. There is also a few more apartments located on Henderson Pass you may want to consider before Sunset Canyon. Sunset recently remodeled the exterior, but all they did was cover the rotten boards and framing. They did not replace the insulation which is mostly blcak due to years of exposure they never reparied to the exterior.....I could go on adn on but I think you have gotten the point. I would not allow my worst enemy to move in there if you want a safe complex with no people or gangs trafficing thru to sell drugs which I have also reported....... good luck in your search.
