Tiny 1 bedroom, overpriced for the area. Fitness center is minimal and equipment is beaten up and not maintained. Onsite laundry is not maintained, dirty, and not always working. There is also a Highway-rail crossing immediately at the next intersection with De Zavala Rd, which creates traffic lines in the evening on top of the usual heavy traffic of De Zavala. The Locomotive horns can be heard a couple of times in the evening, and around 2:00 AM most every mornings.

I have been the Manager of this property for 2 years now and I have to say that this review is inaccurate. First of all the small one bedroom leases for $655 which is less expensive than the competition within our area. Second of all the fitness center is on a quartly maintenence contract which means it is serviced 4 times a year. The laundry rooms are cleaned monthly and when the machines are broke (if we are notified) they are immediatly called in to coinmach who owns them. As for the traffic and the train that is non-disputable. The traffic is bad anywhere you live in San Antonio and there is a train track near us so occasionally you will hear it go by. This is however the first compliant I have recieved about the noise of the train. I am sorry you have had a unpleasent experience with us during your stay.

I really disagree with this poster. Village at Shavano is a great place to live. We used their laundry facilities regularly until we got our own washer and dryer and they always had working machines. The workout room is basic, but provides everything you might need.
The price for the area is unbeatable. It's in a great location in NW SA and there is no place that is comparable in the area when it comes to price. This complex is very nice.

i disagree with the poster as well. i live here and yes, there is a train, but after a week, i didnt even notice the noise. it isnt that bad at all. yes the laundry room isnt perfect but when you share something with a lot of other people, things happen, they break, and i have noticed they get fixed rather quickly. this is by far one of the top apartments in the area.
