The manager at the Village of Hampton Cove could not be more snobby or rude. Not only is she rude and inconsiderate to the residents when she sees them, but she is also rude to her staff. I saw her yelling at a maintenance man the other day, and actually demoted him! He is the only hard worker that I see at the complex, and very polite. He always fixes things in my apartment quickly and efficiantly, and does so with a smile. Then out of no where, the only good thing about this complex gets demoted' I don't understand the management. They should all be fired. The maintenance USED to be the best thing at the property, but from what I can see they have either all quit or been fired by the crazy manager. She is seriously off her rocker. The girls in the office are sweet, the maintenance USED to be awesome, but the management is TERRIBLE. Do not rent an apartment here, you will be sorry you did. Since the management is in control of everything that goes on around the complex, there is not much the nice girls in the office can do to make up for her short comings. Beware of the manager here, she will ruin your experience.

My complaint is their protocol when handling rent checks. I made the mistake of writing something wrong on my check. Instead of putting the faulty checks in my mailbox, they put them in an envelope and slid them through my front door. The envelope disappeared and I didn't even know that there was an issue until they called me looking for a correct rent check. I have no idea where the checks went - and now I'm worried about my financial information being compromised. The manager wasn't rude to me, but I was disappointed at the way they handled the situation. I don't think a person's personal check should be slid under my front door. I think it needs to go safely into my mailbox, to which they have access. I take the review very seriously and have written several nice things about the apartment on this site before. But I hope that their staff read this and change some of their protocol. (And maybe fix the gate access while they're at it). - Otherwise Happy Tenant
