Not the worst... but not the best either

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
Parking - It is hard to imagine a worse parking situation (other than none at all). The parking is assigned and enforced on a draconian level (necessarily, unfortunately) and visitor parking is beyond inadequate. Because the assigned parking space is often over 200 feet away from the corresponding apartment, tenants have a tendancy to park in the visitors parking making it nearly impossible for actual visitor's to park their cars. You definitely don't want to park your car anywhere other than the assigned spot - it will be towed.
The Lynd Corp., the owners of the apartment complex, have, as explained to me by the apartment management staff, hired a local towing company to, at random, drive through the complex and tow away offending vehicles. Even if there are extenuating circumstances involved (e.g. - while moving furniture into your apartment and parking in a closer parking spot - remember, assigned spots are often far away - then forgetting to turn on breakdown flashers), the onsite management have no power at all to intervene. Contacting support staff at Lynd is on par with attempting to talk with the President of the United States (assuming you can obtain contact information through normal channels). The onsite management informed me that even they don't have a number to contact Lynd Corporation (difficult to believe but not outside the realm of possibility).
Noise Level - Noise levels are moderate and the tenants surrounding me were, for the most part, courteous. However, because of minimal insulation (reference section), one has to maintain a fairly low noise signature to avoid intruding on your neighbors.
Additionally, the complex does have a larger number of children on the premises. Kids will be kids - they make noise. If this sort of thing offends or irritates you, this complex will probably not work for you. I didn't find it to be a problem.
Grounds - Although the landscaping of the complex is not terribly inspired, they are kept clean and trimmed. As this is a gated complex, it should be noted that the gates are operational a majority of the time (if you've lived in apartments, you know how irritating it can be when the automatic gates break regularly).
Safety - Due to good grounds keeping and an excellent maintenance staff, the complex is safe. The lighting could be better but probably not without keeping people awake at night. There are also parts of the complex that lack sidewalks (a necessity due to the chaotic parking assignment) where they are needed.
QC - It is standard of what one would expect from apartments in the related price range.
Maint. - They get it done fast, efficient, and right on the first visit. They are the bright star at Lost Creek.
Mgmt. - The onsite management staff are friendly and, I believe, want to do their best to make the tenants feel welcome. With that in mind, and this is pure speculation, I suspect that they are severely restricted what they are allowed to do by the parent corporation. Because of this, they often are left in the position of being the "bad guy." Most likely, the truth lies somewhere in between.
Summary - On the whole Lost Creek is not an awful place to live. The management staff does their best but follow procedure to the letter. The pest situation has, from my experience, improved dramatically (as was referenced in earlier reviews) and some parking has been added.
Unfortunately, the abysmal parking situation in conjunction with a management staff that lacks the authority to support the tenants makes for a recipe for mediocrity.
My recommendation would be to avoid Lost Creek until conditions improve.
P.S. - to the Lynd Corporation: Spruce up the grounds, the tenants would likely appreciate it.
Thank you
