Great place if you love incompetence.

To be honest, the staff was nice, friendly, and seemed to be very accomodating. They inspired confidence in our choice. Unfortunately, charisma was the only thing they had...to go down the list: Parking was terrible. I had to park all the way down the road a few times, and there was hadly enough space to pull out and in from most spots. Noise was a huge problem...the insulation was inferior to the point where if someone drove a car by while playing music at 3 in the morning [which they did quite often], I was woken up. I was on the third floor, so this is ridiculous. The grounds were ugly. I didn't want people coming to my place; I was ashamed. Maintenance was the worst. there were things they never fixed in the entire time I was there, including water leaking in from the roof and a broken window. We did ask them to fix these things many, many times. It was a horrifying experience, talking to an easy-going, reassuring manager and knowing that no matter what they said, nothing would ever actually be completed. Moving out of The Villages was such a happy occasion that I am registering on this website in order to save anyone else from living there - I read the review for this place after signing the lease and thought "I'm easy going, I probably won't have those problems" - please don't give yourself false hope. Even if you have to pay to break the lease, leave. You'll be glad you did.
