Every apartment complex is going to have positive and negative aspects. I found this complex through an apartment locator. When I mentioned to him the comments and ratings I had read on this website he told me the ratings were so low because only people with bad experiences posted their complaints. Well I'm here to tell you it's low for a reason.
GOOD
...The views are great if you're lucky to get an apartment over looking the golf course, lake or trees.
...Your CPS bill will be cheap ($35-Winter and $110-Summer)(2 bedrrom/2bath) on the 2nd floor if you have trees that shade your building
...The amenities room is great
...Office staff and maintenance are very friendly
BAD
...The airplanes are ridiculous. When you first come to view the apartments you are not there long enough to notice. They are really bad. In the beginning you will be woken up in the middle of the night from your apartment walls shaking. As the months go on the noise becomes so annoying you just countdown til your move out date.
...Ants have taken over the complex. There are ants everywhere...all over the apartments(kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, closet), millions by the mailboxes, even in your car. Exterminators come out every week and spray, nothing works. This has been going on for six months and still no solution to the ant infestation.
Over all,the apatment layouts and grounds are nice. If I could go back 10 months I would not have moved in due to the airplane noise and ant infestation. Do a little more shopping around before you decide on Villas of Vista del Norte.

I agree. For the cost, the only upgrades you're getting are crown molding, stainless steel appliances, and a gate that works. But seriously, it's not worth that much more!
