We initially moved in because the property was having a great move in special. It seemed nice at first, because the new management company at our old complex had made it so bad, anything seemed like an improvement. Unfortunately, we saw why the move in special was offered.


First, there have been a number of vacanat apartments practically since we moved in. I have seen tenants move out after only one or two months. It is no wonder, the management has changed three times in the last year. I have never seen anything like it before and have lived in apartments in SA for over 20 years.


Second, we continually have to "remind" the office staff of repairs that are badly needed. We honestly are still waiting on things to be done from our initial move in and that was 14 months ago!


The hot water heater is constantly going out. I waste more time having to heat water on the stove so we can take a "warm" bath than you can imagine.


The management claims that the pest control comes around to each apartment once a month whether you request it or not. My daughter was home all summer and does not recall the exterminator coming to the door once to even ask if we needed anything done or not. I checked the calendar issued by the office each month and located the date our building was to have been done. We secured our dog and no one ever came in (I thought maybe they did not want to spray with pets in the area). I think the apartment was sprayed shortly after we moved in (5/2002) and once when I told them to, but that is it!


You are supposed to get a water bill each month. While I have not been crazy about the idea of paying water at a rental property (this policy started while I was still living at my last complex), the amount is not unreasonable. The problem comes in when you do not get a bill for 3 or 4 months in a row, then suddenly you get three bills within about a two week period of time.


Any ads you see for this complex mention a limited access gate (which is currently not usable because they took the keypad out!), a fitness room (that cannot be used because the building collapsed last year with all the rain and it is still being fixed!), a playground (which is not usable because of the construction being done on the fitness center!), and BBQ areas (most of which are always dirty and covered with trash!). Why advertise if you cannot offer'


There is always trash piled up at the dumpsters and old tree branches and debris have been washed up against one of the old, non-working entry gates near the back of the complex. It looks like a slum.


We have heard people arguing outside our window at 2 or 3 in the morning. People also let their kids run around until close to midnight.


The pool has yet to stay clean for more than a day or two at a time. It is supposed to have one of the largest pools in the city, but unfortunatley the newest group in the front does not want to expend the time to keep it in usable condition.


There is starting to be a lot of gang graffiti on dumpsters, the mail boxes, trash cans, etc. If you dont like looking at it, you must report it to the office and then they spray paint over it instead of washing it or taking care of properly.


I do not anticipate staying here once my lease is over. Between the awful maintenance, the rude and uncooperative office staff, and being nickle and dimed to death by utilities, I would be better off iving in my car! It has been a fairly negative experience.
