Villas of Castle Hills

I will have lived at these apartments three years when my lease ends soon and luckily my job is taking me out of the state, so I will not have to endure these apartments much longer. We still wait for repairs that went in on our initial "move in" sheet. Since then, our ceilings (kitchen, bathrooms, and one bedroom) have cracks and I am just waiting for them to collapse completely. The buildings themselves have paint peeling all over and the only painting they did was to put an ugly shade of purplish-red on the doors the line the entrance way to the office. And that was done poorly to boot! Gang graffiti is all over and sometimes they paint over it with a color that does not even match the original! The laundry facility is always a mess. People through their trash in the can and leave all their dryer sheets and lint on the floor. Most people are too lazy to actually put their trash in the dumpster, so much of it is on the parking lot. We have seen too many vacant units; some have whole sections of wall knocked out, windows and screens completely missing in others. The fitness center was closed shortly after we moved in and the building is at least finsihed--who knows, though, when the fitness center will be operable! And we never use the dishwasher nor take showers to conserve water, then get slapped with over $32 on water bills every month! The first 18 months my electricity bill never went below $80 and sometimes as high as $100 and I again was not running AC or anything to try to bring the bill down. The water is continually being turned off and then when it is back on you can have it full force in your apartment and it takes sometimes 20 minutes to fill the tub! No joke! And yes, the management changes so often you never know who is there. I have never been so disgusted with a community in my life. I cannot wait to get out of this hell-hole!

One note on your review: It doesn't make too much sense for you yourself to try and conserve water. It doesn't help too much because the charge for water is based on a pro-rated system based on the size of your apartment and how many people live in the apartment.
