Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2005

I used to live at this complex and about this time last year I turned in a service request to fix the light outside the front door. No need to come in to the apartment, or so I thought. That afternoon I come home to find a letter on my door telling me that, first, the maintenance guy couldn't go in because our dogs were out. And two, we only "supposedly" had one dog listed on our rent agreement. The office tried to tell me that we were in breach of our lease agreement and we had 24 hours to pay all kinds of money or else. I might mention that whatever group was in the office, they were known for loosing rent checks, paperworks of all kinds, so I assume that our second deposit went to someone's personal account (if you know what I mean). I wrote all this out and dropped off at the office, then made attempts on the following day during what was listed as office hours to talk to someone. Needless to say, no one was ever in the office the entire day. A couple of days later, the maintenance guy shows back up to fix the light and my daughter was home at the time. He needed to get in to turn off the breakers and my daughter mentioned trying to get a hold of the office staff. He said "they are over there now", so she called me and I tried to call them. A couple of times, in fact. The answering machine picked up every time. I never got another letter or bothered by this matter again, but I never got any resolution either because the office staff was too ignorant to be there or answer the phone.

I agree 100% with you about the Lynd Company. The "Lynd Company" should be considered a warning label to anyone looking to rent an apartment. I once e-mailed David Lynd about the complex. The dork blamed the owner and not his company.

I had contacted the management company, too. I was referred to whoever was overseeing that property as part of their "territory" and basically nothing got done either. What is scary is they keep acruing more properties, not just in San Antonio. Even if those were good properties once upon a time, they soon get poor reviews, too.
